Azzurri appoints new business development chief
Vigar returns to communications provider fold after two years at Vodafone
Managed services provider Azzurri Communications has rehired Antony Vigar as its new head of business development.
Craig Wellman (pictured), sales director at Azzurri, said Vigar was rehired because of his experience in the services provider environment and extensive contact centre and IP comms background, partly gleaned from his previous Azzurri experiences.
"The telephony and unified communications marketplace is increasingly moving towards hosted and cloud solutions," he added. "We needed someone who understood the enterprise communications landscape implicitly."
Azzurri is soon to expand its cloud and managed services offering while not removing focus from its core enterprise communications customer base, it indicated.
Vigar spent about two years at Vodafone where he managed media and high-tech vertical accounts. Before that, he spent seven years at Azzurri, where his final role was head of specialist solutions.
