Park Place Technologies rejigs EMEA leadership team

Park Place Technologies has rejigged its EMEA leadership team as the business continues to focus on global expansion.

The third-party services provider's EMEA managing director, Sean Sears, will take on a newly created role as vice president of channel sales in EMEA.

Sears joined Park Place in 2017 and led its operations in Canada between 2017 and 2019 before moving to the EMEA role.

His position will be filled by Ian Shearer, managing director of APAC, who's role will be expanded to also cover the EMEA market.

Shearer joined Park Place as general manager for Europe in 2016 before moving to lead its APAC business in 2018.

He was previously the co-owner of Com-Com, a London-based datacentre maintenance company that Park Place acquired in 2016.

Commenting on the appointments, Park Place's CEO said: "Our global customer base is expanding - and our portfolio of IT services is becoming increasingly more sophisticated to meet the demands of the digital era. Park Place Technologies will continue to enable businesses to flourish by placing its top talent in key positions, ready to lead our global strategy. Our most trusted people, with proven track records are our greatest asset.

"Today's announcement is evidence of Park Place Technologies' commitment to global investment, excellent customer experience and building exciting career pathways for valued employees."

Sears added: "I'm looking forward to growing, strengthening and exceeding our Channel ambitions in EMEA, enabling customer success across the region. Staying ahead of customer challenges is what we do, helping to seize the digital opportunity with our expanding portfolio and global pool of expertise."
