Barracuda on its 2022 channel highlights and what changed most for partners

What have been your highlights of 2022 so far?

In 2022, the pace of new threats and new methods of attack, combined with customer needs to address the complex security challenges of digital transformation has powered innovation in our products and services.

Among other things, we've launched upgraded editions of our flagship products, brought XDR and a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC)-as-a-Service to our MSP partners and extended our data protection services to more regions to help customers meet regulatory and compliance needs.

What's the most interesting industry trend you've noticed this year?

The first one that springs to mind first is that security is still topping the list of must-have services for the channel. Back in May, we found that 92 per cent of MSPs, MSSPs and channel partners felt they needed to be more focused on security than ever before.

Defending against modern cyber threat campaigns requires the ability to respond quickly and effectively to rapidly evolving attacks that can strike anywhere within an organisation's infrastructure.

By working with a cybersecurity partner to deliver a cybersecurity-as-a-service offering to their end users, partners can tackle major cyber landscape problems at once. A great managed cyber solution eliminates the need to find and pay for a full team of industry professionals to operate 24/7 for 365 days a year.

How has your partner strategy evolved in 2022?

All Barracuda partners are given what they need to help protect their customers through the different stages of their security journey.

As a part of that journey partners are invited to Discover, Barracuda's in-person partner conference in EMEA, a chance for Barracuda to celebrate the success of its partners, who lead from the front and are inspiring with the outcomes they drive.

Through Barracuda MSP, we help MSPs get security right.

Partners are invited to take part in Global MSP Day, which is all about them, their business and the future wellbeing of MSPs across the globe.

All of this combines into a growing partner strategy that is only going to evolve over the coming months and into 2023.

Enabling us to build valuable partnerships with organisations who join us on the journey.

What are you most looking forward to about 2023?

Part of our strategy moving forward is to see how we can leverage the best practices happening in different regions for worldwide benefit.

We're a channel-first company and we've got huge momentum in our channel. 2023 will see us building on that and we're very excited.
