Career so far It is probably best described as unplanned and diverse! My background is in sales and marketing and includes more than 15 years with HP and then a variety of other management assignments before joining Networks First at the end of 2009.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? Victoria Wood. Then I could write and perform witty songs instead of giving boring PowerPoint presentations.

Cloud - friend or foe? Friend of course. It forces the IT industry to become more service focused and not technology led.

Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be? It has been a tough year but most of us are now acclimatised to operating in a challenging environment and just get on with it.

What would you have as your last meal? I am just back from Italy so pasta would be my current choice.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with? The Scottish rugby team! Mind you, I'm not sure they would all fit.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? No, as I have still not won the Lottery.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012? Driving change as the current climate tends to slow you down.

What is the best part of your day? The end of it, ideally with a glass of wine in hand reflecting on the day.
