Executive managing director UK&I, Ingram Micro

Career so far I started off with a vendor, moved into distribution and eventually moved on to Ingram Micro working in the UK, Europe, Australia and Asia.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be? The prime minister. I would change the income tax schemes currently in place.

Has 2012 been a good, bad or ugly year? Good, with multiple new opportunities opening up for the channel across various market segments which have driven growth.

What would you have as your last meal? Anything, just as long as there was lots of it to make it last.

What keeps you awake at night? The ever-increasing cost of my children’s education fees.

What piece of technology could you not be without? My smartphone.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Some have, but if I was a betting man I would be about even by now.

What is the best partner/customer trip you have ever been on? A Toshiba trip to Fiji. A small island, coral reefs – you can’t get much better.

What do you see as the channel’s biggest challenge in 2013? Profitable growth and credit.
