Reseller Barclay Communications has culled its contracts with all network providers apart from O2 and has been awarded Centre of Excellence status by the mobile operator.
Barclay previously worked with an array of major network providers including O2, Orange, Vodafone, T-Mobile and 3. The Belfast-based VAR has now entered into an exclusive partnership with O2 and a dedicated O2 support team will provide help with sales, customer service and marketing support.
Barclay has also been awarded Centre of Excellence status by the network operator and the two firms will operate a revenue share model. O2's SME customers in Northern Ireland were also recently transferred to Barclay.

O2's head of SME sales David Plumb said: "We pride ourselves on our successful partnerships, and have set out our stall to be the number one network to help our partners grow. We see the Centre of Excellence programme as the perfect vehicle to achieve those aims and allow our partner and direct channels to collaborate."
Barclay managing director Britt Megahey added: "As an operator, O2 is streets ahead of the other networks in the way it works with partners. We have built strong personal relationships with O2’s team of experts and enjoy regular high-level contact. The revenue share model we have agreed with O2 will become an industry standard and, ultimately, made the decision to go exclusive an easy one.”
