CA’s recovery management and data modelling (RMDM) business unit is targeting Symantec’s channel with its latest VAR recruitment drive.
The unit, which focuses on CA’s storage portfolio including ArcServe, deals with 2,500 resellers per quarter in EMEA, and is keen to ramp up reseller numbers in the region.
Chris Ross, vice president of channel sales EMEA & Asia-Pacific at RMDM, said: “We are being aggressive and are looking to increase the number of storage-focused VARs we work with in the UK and EMEA. We can offer partners up to 37 per cent margin on our portfolio and are saying, particularly to Symantec partners, that we will grandfather them into our programme at the same level. They will not lose their initial investment.”

He said the vendor is gearing up to release a new version of its ArcServe product and is set to take the wraps off its first brand new product in ‘a number of years’.
Ross added RMDM is looking to work with storage-focused volume, value and large account reseller (LAR) partners and is also keen to ramp up its managed services partnerships.
“We are 100 per cent channel and will work with all partners on a two-tier level, even with managed services,” he said.
