Career so far: Credit manager at DEC; industry group manager at Graydon; operations manager at D&B; senior manager at PwC; and divisional director at P&A.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? I'd be Eric Clapton and form a super group with Phil Collins, Mark Knopfler, Paul McCartney, Jools Holland, Sam Brown and Beverly Knight.

What would you have as your last meal? My wife's roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, and my mother's apple pie and custard.

What is the best corporate jolly you have ever been on/taken partners on? I hosted the EMEA Credit Forum in Dubai in 2000.

Do you see the cloud as a threat or an opportunity? From a finance perspective, I see it as an opportunity. This will provide stability of system delivery with a known cost.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? I predicted we'd have a hung Parliament and a coalition government.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2011? One of the biggest challenges will be the fast-growing threat of fraud.

What is the best part of your day? The end. Going home to my wife and a good glass of red wine.
