Vice president and managing director, UK&I, Ingram Micro

What was the worst job you have ever had? Paperboy.
Which actor would you pick to play you in a movie of your life? Alec Baldwin. Apparently we look alike.

What do you do as your party trick? The beer pong.

What is your favourite chocolate bar? Cadbury's Dairy Milk.

What has been the highlight of your career to date? A turnaround effort at DBL distributing, now Ingram Micro Consumer Electronics. It's been a massive effort, huge return and the pleasure of watching our associates grow and realise their potential.

Has 2014 been a good, bad or ugly year? Good. The culture of our company continues to improve, we continue to invest and continue to strengthen our place in the market. I am extremely fortunate to work with an amazing team, both internal associates and our partners. A positive culture plus the right people equals strong results.

How would you explain the IT channel to a stranger without boring them to death? The channel is what helps identify, build and move the right technology solutions end users consume every day. It is a massive community of hard-working people behind every display the end user views.

Aside from the channel, my dream career would be... NHL ice hockey player. It's kind of a boyhood dream.

What major issues will the channel face in 2015? The continued shift to the cloud and the complexities associated with delivering a multiple vendor cloud solution platform to the end user. PCs will be up against a big growth year.
