Channel newcomer LG Electronics is rolling out its Business Solutions partner programme across Europe after claiming success in the UK and Germany.
At its launch in December, the electronics giant said it hoped to have 3,000 UK resellers signed up to the programme by 2011. The vendor now claims to have recruited 700 in the UK, as well as more than 900 in Germany.
As a result, LG said it is now in the throes of rolling out the programme across the rest of Europe as the firm pushes ahead with plans to establish itself as a “leader in the B2B landscape” in the region.

Luc Grare, business solutions director at LG, explained: “The programme
is going to be launched one country at a time across Europe and, to support
this expansion, increasing [the company’s] headcount will be a priority.”
Lee Baker, business manager at LG distributor Midwich, said the vendor’s first foray into the channel was already having a positive impact on its business.
“LG is an important and strategic brand for us, so we are delighted at the level of investment made in the partner portal and the B2B market in general,” he said.
