If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? The England football manager - I would arrange a friendly against Mauritius (away), put myself on the bench, play the last 10 minutes and resign at the final whistle.

Cloud - friend or foe? Friend. The type of friend that is clearly good for business, but is slightly misunderstood and brings along some security issues.

Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be? Yes. That's how the market works, mostly on emotion and consensus.

What would you have as your last meal? Probably Italian. They have the best desserts.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with? Warren Buffett. A truly interesting man: outspoken, but not a loud mouth.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Some. The market has moved quickly in some areas, consolidation continues, and margin has to be earned.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012? To continue to add value and be able to charge for it.

What is the best part of your day? The first hour, before the phone starts ringing, which is a great time to plan and reflect before the daily madness.
