BT is investing #300 million in a network modernisation programme in a bid to secure a bigger stake in the internet market. The investment will be used to develop and expand its existing high-capacity broadband multiservice network. BT said internet and data communications services are expected to account for about 90 per cent of all corporate communications traffic in the next five years.
