US Unix software company Facetcorp will launch a UK reseller recruitment programme in July to persuade the indirect channel to carry its Unix/Windows 95 connectivity product.
Facetcorp, which distributes in the UK through Systems Marketing, Toplog and Unidirect, hopes to win business from SCO as it competes in similar vertical markets. According to vice president and general manager Paul Vance, the company wants to infiltrate the UK reseller channel.
'Our channel partners are changing,' he said. 'Our new product will ship at the end of July and we will define our reseller programme then. The product is a natural fit for companies with Unix who are migrating from terminal clients to PCs and it is easy to use, configure and install.'
Vance said that Facetcorp will target vertical markets including healthcare, medical, local government and football clubs.
Facetcorp was formed in March 1996 as the development arm of Structured Software Solutions .
