Former Merisel credit controller manager Damien Applegarth has become UK credit manager at Metrologie in a finance department reshuffle which includes the appointment of a new finance director.
Applegarth takes over from Keith Sainsbury, also ex-Merisel, who is being promoted to group credit collections manager for Metrologie International.
Sainsbury will report to Gerard Louis-Morhange, the distributor's chief financial officer, from January onwards.
Sainsbury said he was pleased to have Applegarth on board. 'Applegarth replaced me when I left Merisel and I'm very glad that he's here too.
That was a great opportunity CHS gave us,' he said.
Applegarth was one of several senior managers at Merisel who was made redundant during October following CHS' takeover of the rival company in September.
Chris Hervey is to fill the newly created role of UK finance director.
