Jamba Session Animates Java

Java continues to capture the imagination of the industry with the release of Jamba 2, an authoring tool, from Aimtech this month.

Aimtech already works in the internet and multimedia software industry and the updated version of Jamba enables designers and programmers to add animation to otherwise non-interactive Web pages. Sound, animation and interactive navigation can all be built in with Jamba 2, adding facilities such as zoom, fade and rotate to previously static pages.

Peter Kelly, international managing director of Aimtech, said the improvements to Jamba will mean Web page designers can keep their finished work as close to the original idea as possible.

?Jamba 2 enables Web page creators to achieve a level of interactive navigation, data collection and animation on their Web sites that until today would have required extensive programming,? he said.

A series of Jamba Wizards have been incorporated into the application.

As well as step-by-step instructions and help notes, the wizards are organised into five categories that allow the user to create common components such as banner advertisements, tickertape text and multi-page presentations.

Kelly added: ?Jamba gives professional Web designers the ability to maintain the creative integrity of their work from concept creation right through to posting an interactive Java applet on their Web sites.?

Jamba 2 is priced at #199 plus VAT. Existing Jamba users can upgrade to version 2 for #49.
