Mitac talks with Dynamic spark buyout rumours

Synnex, part of the Mitac Group, is poised to buy East Grinstead-based hardware and peripherals specialist Dynamic Distribution.

According to sources, Richard Nathan, Dynamic MD, was in a high-level meeting at the offices of Mitac UK on 21 April, believed to be working out the details of the purchase.

Prior to the deal, Dynamic was part of South African company Siltec. It has been operating in the UK for eight years. The firm is a distributor for Sony, Seagate, Epson, Samsung and Mitac and has a staff of between 50 and 60. Its last recorded turnover for the year ended June 1996 was #35 million, with a profit of #316,000.

One analyst claimed the acquisition would create a major force. ?This means Mitac will have a setup in the south as well as the north. Dynamic has performed consistently well in recent years,? he said.
