CacheFlow has launched two new carrier-class and enterprise-level content delivery devices to enhance ebusiness and reduce costs. The vendor said all of its sales go through channel partners.

Andy Shepperd, general manager of networking at Computer 2000, said fast, quality cacheing is essential for ebusiness. "If you are running ebusiness and e-services, your company is now judged by the way electronic inquiries or transactions are conducted," he said.

Greg Dumas, vice president of CacheFlow, Europe, Middle East & Africa, said internet download times are unacceptable in most instances. The new products aim to solve this problem. "They will guarantee quality content and reduce download time and connectivity costs," he said.

The growth of the web has created demand for quality cacheing, he told CRN. "These products exemplify the evolution of content delivery appliances with high quality functionality for speedy data management," he said. "This is a natural progression of the technology with three times the performance."

Keith Fenner, e-team technical consultant at Accpac International, said: "High-speed cacheing will benefit our corporate hosting services and speed up Secure Socket Layer encryption."

Dumas claimed that CacheFlow has developed its Automatic Object Refresh to ensure that the most up-to-date web data is downloaded. "We supply product incentives as well as marketing support. We will treat resellers as if they were our own sales force and look for ones to sell into niche markets," he said.
