A web management tool called eBizinsights, which allows businesses to carry out real-time analysis of their websites, has been introduced in the UK by Visual Insights.

Michael Tatelman, vice president of marketing and business development at Visual, said the widespread adoption of websites has created a need for easy-to-use management and analysis tools. "Web management tools are the next big thing to hit web development," he said.

Research carried out by Visual into 200 UK organisations showed that less than five per cent had any web management tools. The company launched its eBizinsights solutions provider programme for UK resellers at the end of last year.

Ian Kilpatrick, group managing director at Wick Hill, currently the sole UK distributor of the eBizinsights family of products, said: "We have taken the product to our main resellers and they are very excited. I am pleased to say Visual is very channel friendly."

He added that both eBizinsights and its related services are a huge opportunity for resellers because it is easy to install and allows them to provide training and consultancy.

"We are looking for resellers to train people to understand the results of the analysis. This will provide resellers with a whole overview and it ties them closely to their customers. The reseller can then get involved across the customers' businesses," he said.

Kilpatrick added that many of the resellers that have so far looked into supplying the product have seen the value to their own business. "Many resellers I have spoken to have said they could use it in their own IT departments," he claimed.
