Bard talks on games

COMMITTEE

Bard, the British Association of Record Dealers, has launched a multimedia committee to tackle games industry issues like the breaking of release dates for its multiple retailer members.

Members of the committee met with representatives of ELSPA as CRN went to press with the intention of getting the thorny problems of release dates, packaging, barcoding, and delivery discussed by games publishers.

Richard Cowan, chairman of the committee, said its purpose was to help everyone and get them to act sensibly. He agreed there were lessons that could be learned from the record and video retailing industries.
