SU tinkers with channel to offer tailored service

Accountancy software vendor Systems Union will roll out an accreditation to standardise its strategy for resellers operating worldwide.

The professional quality implementation service (PQIS) accreditation will standardise installation and support services, ensuring that a high level of local tailoring is provided. The accreditation scheme continues Systems Union?s focus on growing foreign markets.

Paul White, indirect sales manager at Systems Union, said: ?What we?re asking is for our partners to commit to delivering services in accordance with our methodology, to rigorous standards and with a global emphasis.

?We will take the accreditation to experienced, established resellers. Systems Union will provide them with the training, collateral and support they need.?

White confirmed that the programme would be rolled out immediately to Systems Union?s largest resellers, maintaining that he did not expect any of their 40 resellers to fail the accreditation.

David Robbins, managing director of London-based SU reseller Icos, praised the move, saying it fitted in with the software manufacturer?s stated intention of becoming a global player in accounting and financial systems.

?With an increasing move to globalisation, when countries take it up they will all have the peace of mind of knowing the software is installed to the highest standards,? he said.
