CRN unveils our new and improved web site

It is immensely satisfying when something you have been working on for many months finally comes to fruition.

As some canny readers may have noticed, CRN’s web site has undergone a major appearance change in the past week and not before time.

The old site was a testament to the fast-paced change that has enveloped the channel over the past few years, struggling to keep up with all the technology developments in the industry, and having to endure new additions being bolted on as and when.

Although this kept us steaming ahead of the competition, aesthetically the site was not as pleasing as it could be, and so about 12 months ago it was decided a redesign was necessary.

Since I became editor in October, our development team has been working hard to incorporate all the modifications needed to keep us well ahead in the game, but at the same time create something easy on the eye and simple to navigate.

Simplicity is key, and the different landing pages have been designed with the reader in mind clearly laid out, straightforward and uncluttered.

I personally am delighted with the end result and am looking forward to building on the strong new foundation of Channelweb. Thank you to everyone who has put so much work into the development side.

The news team has also been working hard to update it on a daily basis, so we really can be first with the news.

We are hoping the new site will encourage more visitors and reader feedback, and that you will all make full use of the comment facility at the end of stories and participate in our weekly poll.
I would love to hear feedback on the new site , please email me your thoughts.
