Distributor e92plus is opening a Manchester office to lavish more TLC on its northern resellers.
The Websense, Barracuda and Xirrus distributor will open a sales base in central Manchester on 9 July, initially with four staff.
It eventually plans to add more heads and use the outpost to supplement the training it carries out at its headquarters in Surbiton, which house 35 staff.
Mukesh Gupta, managing director of e92plus, said the distributor had grown last year, allowing it to re-invest back in the business.
"We want to better cover our northern resellers and give them a bit more affection and focus and show commitment that we are not just a southern company," he added.
"A large amount of our business comes from the south-east but there is a lot more potential up in the north."
Gupta said the new office would target the "pockets" of VARs that inhabit cities including Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle and Birmingham.
"The office will give them more of a local feel," he said. "As time goes on, we will expand on the facility."
