Axial Systems reveals healthy growth spurt

Security VAR grows turnover by almost a third to £20.2m after "moving up food chain" with its larger customers

Security VAR Axial Systems claims it has moved further up the channel pecking order after reporting a 32 per cent spike in turnover.

The Maidenhead-based reseller saw turnover power up to £20.2m for the 12 months to 31 May, compared with £15.3m a year earlier.

The number of customers that spent more than £1m with the VAR quadrupled to four, according to director Paul Spencer.

“We are moving up the food chain with customers and getting involved in larger contracts,” he said.

Private equity-backed Axial is a top-level Juniper partner, but Spencer said its strongest growth came with niche performance management vendor NetScout.

“We have an aggressive budget to grow by a further 25 per cent this year,” he said. “This is not a one-off.”

Kay Bruen, founder of channel consultancy Clipsham IT, said: “More than any reseller I have dealt with, Axial sees customer satisfaction as paramount it is paying off.”
