Norwood Adam touts for networking talent

Value-added distributor Norwood Adam is to set up a networking division and recruit four additional staff.

Manny Pinon, sales and marketing executive at the company, said the move would complement its sales of high-end SMP servers and its entry into the ISDN market as distributor for AVM.

'We've developed our distribution business for hardware. Because of our work with servers, it's a natural progression to move to networking,' he said.

'We're looking for vendors to fit into our business model.'

The new division means Norwood Adam will have 22 staff. Recently the company turned in good results.

Pinon said Norwood Adam is already in discussions with a number of firms.

'We'll knock on some doors and we want to sell high-value stuff,' he said.

The company also wants to move into the lucrative Internet market, particularly as it concentrates on the distribution of superservers.
