Billing surfaces at Centerprise

Almost a year after he left Microtronica - Les Billing is back in the channel

Les Billing, a legend in the system building industry, is back in business after a year in the wilderness, as an interim manager of Centerprise.

Billing heads a new team at the distributor, and promised to bring high margins back in the reach of the company’s reseller and system builder partners, by introducing new products and new services.

Last week Centerprise announced new additions to its portfolio, including Asus, Compucase and BluSens - which makes MP3/MP4 players and personal video recorders.

Billing exclusively told CRN that a new motherboard manufacturer was about to be added to the fold, as well as a top name anti-virus software makers. “That’s going to upset a lot of people,” he said.

He also promised to improve on the range of graphics manufacturers available. Centerprise currently carries BFG. Zotac and Sapphire graphics cards.

Though new products may be welcomed by its dealers, it is not enough, said Billing.

“Centerprise is involved in a diverse range of actitivies, such as security, managed service and disaster recovery,” he said, “We are anxious to get our partners out there selling these services for us. This would be a great way to get system builders higher up the value chain.”
