Buoyant OCSL doubles profit
HP Gold partner closes the books on a solid fiscal 2011
HP Gold partner OCSL has bucked the downturn by posting a 34 per cent hike in sales and doubling profit.
For its year to 31 March, the West Sussex-based VAR hauled in £45.9m of revenue, compared with £34.2m a year earlier. Profit hit £1.67m or 3.6 per cent of sales – up from £777,000 in 2010.
OCSL is one of the first five UK partners to bag Cloud Centre of Excellence status with HP and also works with Microsoft, Symantec, VMware and Red Hat.
In the directors' report, management said they were pleased with the results for the year.
"The directors are once again keen to ensure that the company's strong performance continues and available management information since the end of the financial year indicates this will be the case," it stated. "The directors therefore hope to be able to report another positive year to 31 March 2012."
Operating profit for the year hit £1.97m, compared with £1.46m last year. Some 94 per cent of its sales were drawn from the UK.
