CCS celebrates another 'record' half year
Ambitious VAR set to smash through £100m turnover goal this financial year
VAR CCS Media has seen sales leap 20 per cent in the last quarter as its H1 turnover hit £54m.
The firm, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, has seen significant growth in computing, which was up 35 per cent, and services, which grew 25 per cent.
In terms of vendors, its Microsoft-driven business grew 48 per cent over the six months, and HP grew 22 per cent.
Terry Betts, managing director of CCS Media, said: "I am pleased with our performance in the first half of 2014. Winning the IT Reseller of the Year award [from CRN] has certainly been encouraging and we have maintained a solid delivery of our service standards."
He said the firm has continued investing in staff, shelling out £250,000 on training this year already and is constantly expanding its team of apprentices.
Betts added: "In fact our head office in Chesterfield is the largest apprentice employer in the area. We want to build on our achievements and continue that progress with further expansion and recruitment of at least 30 experienced sales personnel before the end of the year."
