French vendor Hackuity opens its doors in the UK
The group plans to triple its customer base in 2023 following its UK debut
Risk-based vulnerability management vendor Hackuity has cut the ribbon on its new and first office in the UK as part of a global expansion.
The France-based group, which already has offices in Singapore and the Netherlands, bagged €12m of funding in March to support its go-to market strategy and investment in new regions.
Founded in 2018 by Orange Cyberdefense veterans Patrick Ragaru and Pierre Polette, Hackuity enables cybersecurity teams to gather, prioritise, and remediate security weaknesses before they can be exploited.
The vendor said its UK debut comes at a time of continued expansion in the sector following large growth seen in the UK cybersecurity market since February 2021 with 6,000 new jobs, and revenues of £10bn for the first time this year.
"Hackuity's entry into the UK offers significant opportunities to diversify our customer base," said its VP of strategy, Sylvain Cortes.
"This is an important move towards global expansion, with the UK being a key step in our business plans for EMEA.
"We have witnessed a growing need for vulnerability management in the region, as the number of cybersecurity threats continues to grow significantly.
"With the UK being a leader in establishing cyber policy best practices, and one of the world's leading technological hubs, the UK is the perfect place to demonstrate our value - bringing calm to the storm."
Hackuity's UK plan of action
Now present in the UK, Hackuity said it aims to extend its platform to blue chip and large enterprise clients with a target of tripling its customer base in 2023.
The company believes the extension of its global network to the UK is key to fighting the critical national infrastructure cybersecurity crisis targeting healthcare, government, and finance specifically.
It also plans to operate under a channel-first sales model, claiming there are "significant opportunities" for MSPs, in particular, to strengthen their offering with Hackuity's platform by capitalising on the growing demand from organisations for outsourced, remote vulnerability operation centres.
Moreover, following the recent appointment of Matthew Fox as its VP EMEA & Americas, and David Henderson as regional sales director, Hackuity claims it is committed to continually expanding its team.
The vendor added it views recruitment as the key to its growth objectives and plans to fill a number of key positions in the next three months.
