CD and DVD duplicating and printing vendor Rimage has announced a bullish reseller recruitment drive and plans to double its overall business over the next two years.
Rimage recently posted a 25 per cent rise in fourth-quarter net profits to $4.5m (£2.2m) on turnover of $28.2m and plans to continue its growth by expanding its UK channel.

looking for partners in every area, through its Perfect Partner Programme, to
“We are on the look-out for vertical partners because horizontal resellers tend to compete on price. With 12 to 14 UK VARs at present, Rimage already focuses on the broadcast, medical and government sectors and others, but would like to expand on that.”
Rimage uses Microboards as its sole UK distributor and does not plan for
Andy Tailor, sales manager at Microboards, said: “Rimage’s plans to double its growth and add new VARs in the UK are definitely achievable, because its products are for solution-based environments and not just individual systems.”
Keith Humphreys, managing consultant at analyst euroLAN, said: “It is logical to grow VARs over different verticals because you do not want partners treading over each other.”
