Office products distributor Spicers has appointed a new director of merchandising for its technology – and furniture – products.
A former staffer of Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Boots, Sarah Atkinson will fill the role of technology and furniture merchandising director effective 6 April.
“Atkinson has considerable experience working in an FMCG [fast-moving consumer goods] environment,” the distributor said in a statement.
Spicers business machines merchandising manager Rob Harradine, meanwhile, is moving to an overall merchandising role from 19 April. That role was formerly held by Jamie Boomer, who is leaving the company.
The appointments were part of a merchandising reshuffle at the wholesaler, which sells a range of traditional office products and stationery, as well as IT products such as printers.
