Oslo-based SmartOptics offers a selection of optical and electrical transceivers, passive optical multiplexers and CWDM/DWDM transmission equipment.
In combination with the distributor's existing QLogic switch range, resellers will be able to offer customers improved utilisation of optical links between their datacentres.
Jason Beeson, solutions sales director at Hammer, said: “SmartOptics will enable our resellers to significantly expand their 8Gb FC user base and help their customers achieve the most from their optical links, or when they need to carry differing technologies over long distances.”
Sean Davies, sales director at SmartOptics, said: “This partnership brings our products to a much wider audience and means that Hammer’s customers can now benefit from simple, cost-effective solutions that truly enhance Hammer’s portfolio.”
