Unipalm has taken its first steps in the wireless networking space by becoming the sole distributor of Aruba's complete product range in the UK and Ireland.
Carly Stevenson, product manager at Unipalm, told CRN: "We had been looking at moving into the wireless market for more than a year, but in the past six months we began looking to take on a vendor. After extensive research we agreed on Aruba."
Stevenson said Aruba's product set will be a 'natural fit' because a lot of Unipalm VARs are already involved in networking and security.
Bob Vickers, UK general manager at Aruba, said: "We've had a presence in the UK for just over a year and our route to market was directly through five resellers. We realised we needed to take on a proper distributor for us to grow and meet the requirements of our resellers.
"We wanted a distributor with a strong presence in the security market, and Unipalm was a natural choice."
