What do you love most about the IT industry? I make a lot of money.

Which company do you most admire or respect in the IT business? Seagate, because it has turned its business round. It is always first to market.

Which individual do you most admire or respect in the IT business? Paul Sangster, former managing director of Hammer. He taught me everything.

What is the biggest technology trend you anticipate in the next 12 months? The transition from SCSI to SAS.

What is the one thing working in the technology industry has taught you? To speak only when you know what you are talking about, and to say nothing if you don't know what you are talking about. You will get caught out.

Where do you think the channel will be in five years time? I don't think anyone can predict where the channel will be in five years.

Which do you think is the most influential vendor in the UK? Microsoft.

Which do you think is the most influential ISV in the UK? EMC.

How do you unwind or spend your spare time? I have two Weimaraners [dogs] and I love walking them on my own with my iPod on.
