iTracs suits VARs keen to push into verticals

Vendor seeks Premier Solutions Providers with verticals experience

Software vendor iTracs is looking for new UK partners to help it expand further into vertical markets.

The vendor has developed a suite of products that monitor networks in real-time to identify and automatically react when a critical device fails.

For example, if an unauthorised device is connected to the network, iTracs will disable it, reducing the time it would otherwise take someone from the IT department to physically find the device and disable it.

The vendor has three levels of partners: Master, Premier Solutions Provider (PSP) and Solutions Provider. It is looking to recruit more PSPs in the UK this year.

Peter Pela, founder and chief technology officer at iTracs, said: “Ideal partners will have software integration and networking skills. Finance is the area we’ve been most successful in, but we think our products are suited to other verticals. We are very keen to get into government and security, so we’d be interested in talking to resellers in those areas.”

Helen Wadsworth, iTracs’ EMEA director, said: “We have 10 PSPs in the UK, and another two going through the accreditation process as we speak. We’re looking to recruit more PSPs this year because we want to expand in the intelligent infrastructure management space.”

Asked how many partners iTracs is looking to recruit, Wadsworth said: “As it is a very specialised solution and sale, we have to make sure they [VARs] have got the right skill-sets, so it’s hard to put a number on it.”

Richard Bell, executive director at IT services provider Comunica, said: “We’ve been a partner of iTracs for more than 12 years. We tell it what our customers want and it will go away and write software to suit the customers needs. Large corporates are where we’ve had most success with iTracs’ products.”
