Centralis opens city pad

Citrix reseller courts financial services firms in the capital

Centralis has opened up a new office in the heart of the City

Citrix partner Centralis has opened up a London office after seeing sales almost double so far in 2010.

The Warwickshire-based VAR, which bills itself as an application and desktop delivery specialist, said its new Broadgate Tower office in Bishopsgate will act as a sales hub for London and the south.

The firm claims sales for the year to date are up by 85 per cent on the equivalent period in 2009. It also said sales doubled between 2006 and 2009.

The new office will be spearheaded by newly appointed account director James Bunce, who will prospect for business in the financial services market.

Ewen Anderson, managing director of Centralis, said: “Our focus on application and desktop delivery has never been more relevant to customers and the new offices are essential to serving our growing customer base in the City.”

Kevin Bland, director of channel sales, UK and Ireland at Citrix, said: “Working with Centralis over the years, we’ve seen the company successfully expand into new markets. Now, as its physical presence in the industry grows, we look forward to continuing our valued relationship with the company, particularly in the desktop virtualisation arena.”

Founded in 1996, Centralis also counts Microsoft and VMware among its vendor allies.
