Interactive Ideas outgrows offices

Open source market growth helps distributor plan to double its size

Growing up: Interactive Ideas is eyeing up larger offices as it plans to double headcount

Distributor Interactive Ideas has responded to growth in the open source market by planning a move to new offices that will allow it to double its headcount.

The new base, which holds up to 70 staff, will also house the Red Hat distributor’s first in-house training facilities.

Interactive Ideas posted £16m in revenues in its last financial year and managing director Mike Trup said the firm had a three-to-five-year plan to double in size.

“Over the last two years we have doubled revenues and we are confident we can do that again,” he said.

“Open source will be a major part of it.”
