Comms-care eyes servers
We're not just a router and switching firm now, channel support services specialist stresses

Channel support services firm Comms-care is pushing deeper into the server space.
The firm is predominantly known as a router and switching specialist and a year ago comms services accounted for 70 per cent of its revenue.
Over the past 12 months, server support has come to represent half of the company’s business as the firm looks to re-invent itself as a one-stop shop for its 400 partners.
Richard Eglon, marketing manager at Comms-care, said: “We are well known for maintenance and break-fix of routers and switches. We have always done the server stuff, but now the demand has rocketed.”
Eglon also claimed his company had brushed up on its Cisco Advanced Technologies expertise. He added that third-party firms such as Comms-care could prove their worth in the current climate.
“As engineering resources are being cut back, third-party providers are proving very popular,” he said. “Companies do not need to employ a network of staff and we have seen an increase in demand.”
