City slicker: ANS wants to boost sales in finance vertical

Northern VAR ANS has launched a recruitment drive for its City pad, to help bolster its financial services sales.

The Cisco, VMware and NetApp partner currently manages its Worship Street office from its Manchester headquarters but is looking to rapidly build headcount there from five to 15-20.

ANS managing director Paul Sweeney said the VAR is targeting the “cream of talent” from some of its larger competitors.

“We would prefer people with industry experience,” he said. “Some of the larger integrators out there are struggling to get on board with VCN [VMware, Cisco and NetApp].”

Sweeney said ANS is hunting for a regional manager, as well as account managers, pre-sales and administration staff, and consultants. It is aiming to ramp up headcount from 75 to 100 in total.

“We have grown significantly and are now re-investing, hence why we need the new heads,” Sweeney said.
