Letrex appeals winding-up verdict

Reseller group calls for second court date

VAR group Letrex Holdings Limited has appealed against a court decision to wind up the company.

As reported by CRN earlier this year, distributor Bell Micro had applied for Letrex Holdings to be closed down due to unsettled liabilities.

The case was heard in Bristol Crown Court last week and a judge ordered that the company should cease trading.

Eddie Pacey, director of credit at Bell Micro, said: “Letrex Holdings was wound up under the provisions of the Insolvency Act 1986. This was the only course of action we could take given the debtor’s unwillingness to settle its liabilities and unwarranted strenuous efforts to deny liability under the contract.”

However, a representative from Letrex Holdings, told CRN: “The hearing took place without us even being there so we have asked for another date when we can attend in person and defend our case.”

He added that associated companies Letrex Services and Software Seller are unaffected.
