Fujitsu tells of MVC interest

Several parties hover over Multivendor Computing division

Fujitsu Services has exclusively confirmed to CRN that a number of parties have expressed an interest in its Multivendor Computing (MVC) division.

Duncan Ward, sales director MVC division at Fujitsu Services, said: "We have been approached by a number of parties that are interested in investing in our business, and we are delighted that our business is seen as an attractive proposition."

For legal reasons, the firm was unable to reveal further information on the sale until a definite position has been reached.

MVC and its distribution arm, tplc, have been the subject of much rumour and speculation in recent months. Sources said that the interested parties are looking to take on MVC as a whole and not just tplc.

Deborah Lees, marketing manager at tplc, added: "Industry attention and tplc's strong sales performance in recent months have created a lot of interest, however recent speculation has been very wide of the mark."
