Steljes VARs reach Turning Point

Training day hailed a success by channel attendees

Audiovisual distributor Steljes has rewarded resellers that attended its three VAR support days for its interactive voting system.

Steljes, the sole UK distributor of the system, called Turning Point, which is manufactured by US vendor Turning Technology, held three events to provide resellers with a sales pitch that they could use to sell the system to end-users. As a result of the training 96 per cent of the VARs that attended agreed they could now convert leads to sales more consistently.

Mitt Nathwani, product manager for Turning Point at Steljes, told CRN: “The roadshows were an open invite to resellers to find out about Turning Point. Every reseller that attended received a 90-minute training session and a support pack so they would be able to start selling Turning Point more quickly.

“Any reseller can sell Turning Point, but the ones that came to the reseller events are getting support, sales packages, and lead generation. My goal is to get Turning Point to the number-one position,” Nathwani said.

Andrew Middleton, sales manager at reseller Scotia, attended one of the events. He said: “The Steljes presentation effectively communicated the powerful benefits of Turning Point as a tool that supports assessment for learning. It also improves teaching and learning outcomes.”

Resellers are also starting to benefit from leads generated by a Steljes direct-mail and telesales campaign , which is targeted at IT buyers for schools in the UK.
