ANS finds ID in Apacs deal

Novell Platinum VAR wins £90,000 contract

Novell Platinum VAR Associated Network Solutions (ANS) has won a £90,000 contract to implement an enterprise identity management system for payment trade association Apacs.

The time that Apacs currently spends on managing information for its 3,500 users and affiliates, spread over three disparate IT systems, will be reduced from four days to less than one, following ANS’s deployment of a Novell-based system to store Apacs’s information in one central location.

Paul Sweeney, managing director of ANS, said: “This is a nice sized contract for us. Identity management is one of our particular strongholds. Our work will make synchronising systems much simpler and remove much of the human workload.”

Sue Yoe, IT director at Apacs, said: “ANS has proved that it is a key pla-yer in the identity management field. We are looking forward to working with it, and are confident of a successful delivery.”
