Iron Mountain treks UK for VARs

Storage vendor launches partner recruitment drive to boost sales of server and laptop back up products

On the hunt: Iron Mountain is scouring the UK for partners

Iron Mountain Digital (IMD) hopes the recurring revenues available on its PC and server backup products will help lure new partners.

The company wants to ramp up its UK coverage by doubling the size of its partner network before the end of the year.

The aim of the recruitment drive is to increase sales of its server backup offering LiveVault and its PC equivalent, Connected.

Richard Ellis, UK and Ireland manager of IMD, explained: “A lot of our business comes from the London area and we want to develop a more structured channel that covers the breadth of the UK.”

Duncan Elliott, IMD’s recently appointed UK and Ireland channel manager, said both products offer partners the chance to build monthly recurring revenues.

“This kind of revenue is increasingly important to partners because they are predictable streams of income that they can plan their business activities on,” he said.

The products would be well suited to VARs with experience of dealing with clients in the financial and public sector verticals, according to Elliott.

“Any company that has to deal with data compliance requirements would be an ideal candidate for our solutions,” he explained.
