Vendors join Zebra herd to add value to auto-ID
Zebra Technologies' latest partner programme is designed to attract ISVs and systems integrators
Auto-ID specialist Zebra Technologies has added another branch to its channel programme, to target companies that offer products and services that complement its own.
The new EMEA-wide Technology Partner Programme (TPP) sits under the umbrella of PartnersFirst, launched in April (CRN, 10 April), and is aimed at ISVs and system integrators.
Marion Obergfell, EMEA channel marketing manager at Zebra, told CRN: “Technology Partners will be those that do not typically resell Zebra printers, but who can deliver value through application software and professional services, and recommend the purchase of the Zebra brand when developing their overall solutions.
“Firms are increasingly looking for integrated solutions from independent providers, particularly those serving fast-growth markets, such as the postal and retail sectors.”
One of the key benefits for Technology Partners will be the PartnersFirst matchmaking element, to help Technology Partners pair up with Zebra hardware VARs, to provide a total solution to customers, she added.
In the UK, Zebra has launched a telemarketing campaign to identify companies that might be interested in signing up to TPP.
“In the UK, ISVs are a specific focus for Zebra and we have already signed up 11 ISVs through the telemarketing campaign,” said Obergfell.
One such ISV is Momote. Graham Whistance, managing director of Momote, told CRN: “By signing up to Zebra’s TPP we can offer our partners a much better service and a total solution. Our customers use our software to write mobile applications and now we can offer them hardware as well.”
Mike Pullon, managing director of Zebra distributor Varlink, said: “Since the PartnersFirst umbrella programme was launched we have given it a huge amount of promotion and to date have signed up 44 reseller partners for Zebra. We are very interested in the TPP element because ISVs are a core focus for our business and one we want to grow further.”
