Oopsie Daisy - Chris Gabriel returns to Logicalis
Reclaims chief technology officer role after brief stint at Daisy
Logicalis' former global chief technology officer Chris Gabriel has returned to the firm after a very brief spell at Daisy.
Gabriel first joined Logicalis nine years ago but announced his departure at the start of August. He began work as chief innovation officer at Daisy earlier this month, but claims he soon realised he should never have left.
"To be honest, it was one of those things where I shouldn't have left in the first place, but you don't realise until you have done it," he told CRN. "It was nothing to do with Daisy at all, it was just a realisation I should be back at Logicalis."
He joked: "I should know better at 46."
Gabriel re-joined Logicalis at the start of this week in his reclaimed role of chief technology officer. In his new job, he will be responsible for the UK only, unlike his previous role which had global scope.
He said the move was "super positive" and that he was looking forward to focusing on the UK.
"I started in the UK business anyway," he said. "I've done my two and a half years in an aeroplane now, and now I will be on the M4 and M6."
