The Channel Awards 2022 and Nuvias UC - Meet the Finalists!

This week, the CRN team is gearing up for the biggest event in the channel calendar - The Channel Awards!

One of the distinguished finalists at this year's awards is distributor Nuvias UC, which is a contender for Networking/Comms Distributor of the Year.

Here we talk to its director of CEO, Jeremy Keefe (pictured).

Keefe's background has seen him build, manage and develop sales teams at companies including Westcon, Computacenter, Avaya, Citrix, and, most recently Polycom (now Poly).

He's held his current position at Nuvias UC since October 2020.

We asked him for his reaction to the distributor making the 2022 shortlist, and for the company's top achievements of the year.

What would winning a CRN Channel Award mean to you?

Winning a CRN award would give recognition of the hard work that the whole Nuvias UC team have put in over the last 12 months (and before).

Being recognised with a prestigious award acknowledges that our team have been doing the right thing with supporting our partners and our business is moving forward in the right direction.

What have your highlights of 2022 been so far?

Watching our talented team grow and constantly strive towards success, despite the challenges which we've faced within the UC market (such as covid and stock shortages).

Most interesting industry trends?

Although the industry trends and demands of the UC market are constantly changing, customer experience has always been a key focus.

Last year, we were still looking to provide tools to enable people to work from home effectively, this past year we saw a switch to end users looking to better equip offices and now it's a mix of both.

However, ensuring a good customer experience requires all of these environments to be secure so employees are able share personal and confidential information no matter their location, so consolidation of devices and security have been a big focus for this year.

How has your partner strategy evolved?

We've worked closely with senior representatives from our reseller partners to understand the biggest challenges which they've faced over the last year.

This has enabled us to provide a services portfolio to enable them to be successful, while encouraging them to expand wallet share within their customer base by introducing new technologies and solutions from our vendor offerings.

What are you most looking forward to about 2023?

Deepening our relationships with our existing customer and vendor base, while growing our portfolio by bringing on additional vendors which complement our current offering.
