September 11

I cannot believe eight years have passed since the atrocity of September 11.

I watched a documentary this week that I had recorded from the weekend and it brought back the horror of that day. It was an amalgamation of all the different videos taken by people on the ground - some had never been seen before. It was raw, gritty and horrifying.

I was actually off sick the day that it happened and I remember just sitting there glued to the TV as the drama unfolded. I don't think I moved from my sofa all day.

New York has done an amazing job of recovering from the horrendous experience - although it will leave a scar that can never be erased.

It would be great to say I hope this kind of thing never happens again - but sadly in this day and age - you never know.
