Kindles are taking over

ebooks are outselling paperbacks, according to Amazon's latest figures

As I have said in a previous blog I am an absolute Kindle convert after receiving one for Christmas.

Definitely the best present I have ever received, bar one or two!

Now there is proof - Amazon's latest figures reveal that for every 100 paperback books sold, 115 ebooks were sold for the Kindle. And that is not including the free books available either.

Being an avid reader of anything, I was increasingly frustrated - pre Kindle era - that I was having to slow down my rate of reading because I was running out of room to store the many books I was buying.

I had to reluctantly sell a few at car boot sales - for a few, read a few hundred - and have them crammed into every available nook and cranny at home and my desperation levels were increasing.

Now with my Kindle - I can buy books to my heart's content and read them at my own pace....also nobody apart from me knows what I am reading! Result.
