Continuing with its strategy of uniting its storage area network (SAN) and IP networking businesses, Brocade has opened its entire portfolio to existing distributor partner Avnet.
Previously partnering with Brocade for its SAN portfolio only, Avnet has been granted access to the IP networking products acquired through the vendor’s acquisition of Foundry.
Amanda Giddins, EMEA channel sales director at Brocade, said: “The acquisition of Horizon by Avnet made the distributor a clear choice for us, because it now has expertise in both IP networking and SAN.”
Mark Walker, EMEA director of the storage product business group at Avnet Technology Solutions, said: “Avnet will recruit new partners on behalf of Brocade, and offer a service to existing Foundry resellers that have not bought through a distributor.”
