Storage and professional services specialist Ciprico is looking to increase the number of its UK channel partners.
The firm, which designs, manufactures and markets storage solutions and professional services for visual computing and digital media, is looking to take on about 20 resellers in the next 12 months.
Products supplied by Ciprico includes video servers running on shared Ciprico storage, server software and a range of streaming products and software.
Gerry Holman, European sales manager, said that the company can enhance resellers' business opportunities. "Ciprico technology provides more storage streams than our competitors," he claimed.
No training or accreditation will be needed, said Holman, saving resellers from having to invest time and money. "We are just looking for specialist resellers which want to provide storage and streaming products to their customers," he said.
Holman added that the UK channel is "extremely important" to Ciprico, claiming that the company brings out appliance-like products which are suited to the channel.
Chris Jones, a senior analyst at Canalys.com, said: "Choosing the right partners is very important and a channel approach is more cost efficient than direct sales because it increases market reach."
